Therapy that doesn't suck? You're not broken and you don't need to be fixed. Sure, finding a therapist is hard, but someone who appreciates that is just the beginning. I'm a Columbia-trained, holistic and non-diagnostic therapist and I work well with those who are suspicious of therapist, prefer to avoid medication, or want to avoid a cookie-cutter approach. I don't start with labeling or plugging you into a preexisting program. I won't put you in a diagnostic box or sit passively while you do all the work.
I am a creative collaborator: someone to help you see and build with the possibilities. I enjoy working with people who set high expectations for themselves and our work. Therapy needs to do more than provide support with your pain or stuckness-it should help change it.
I've written a good deal on my website to help potential clients get a sense of how do therapy. Take a look by clicking on the "website" link below the photo on the left. I offer a limited number of sliding-fee slots, depending on availability. Please inquire.
