I enjoy working with transitions in life--childhood into adolescence, adolescence into adulthood, midlife and then towards the aging process. My goal is to enable a child or adult or a couple to experience life with purpose and meaning. I treat symptomatic depression, anxiety, and stress which can occur during these developmental transitions. Also, past trauma often surfaces at these junctions. An exploration of the past in connection with a thorough understanding of the present contributes to the healing process. Using my background as a nurse and nurse practitioner, together we examine how symptoms manifest in a person's physical being and their implications for living healthfully today.

I have had extensive training in dreams and sandplay therapy. Dreams often predict, advise, heal, and relieve symptoms. Dreams encourage knowing more about our inner and outer worlds, and thus encourage movement toward wholeness inside and outside-- in one's inner life and in one's relationships.
Given my nursing background I work with physical conditions and terminal illness. Often a person's dreams and/or the sandplay process will guide us in relieving symptoms. If a referral to a physician or a specialist is needed, I call on my knowledge of medicine and of the healthcare system.
