Drug & Alcohol Counselor , CAC

Recovery Associates practices an "Integrated Approach" to assist clients by utilizing recovery-oriented psychotherapy, abstinence-based addiction counseling, 12-step involvement and pharmacotherapy when indicated. These therapies are utilized while maintaining a perspective on the unique psychology and psycho-dynamics of each client. Clients are taught how to use peer and clinical staff support, to hone their recovery skills, to resolve outstanding issues, and to develop the coping strategies necessary to achieve long-term recovery. We have a separate Christian track where Addiction and Recovery are addressed utilizing a Christian perspective.
In addition to Full Day, Outpatient and IOP treatments, Recovery Associates provides EMDR and Hypnotherapy to address trauma issues and recovery; positive psychology and client-centered approaches; psychiatric evaluation and treatment for dual diagnosis, and an "arts based" experiential track that utilizes action-methods to assist clients in getting in touch with underlying issues.
Our clinical staff is trained and experienced in state-of-the-art scientific, medical and 12-step models of treatment for addictive/affective disorders, trauma and behavioral issues. Each client's treatment is individualized because there is no single method, philosophy, or pathway to recovery that is best for everyone.
