I provide specific counseling services to families, children and adults challenged by a array of issues. I am a skilled parenting educator, play therapist and counselor; having worked 35 years in private practice and 40 years in the field of social work. My work history has provided me with a broad experience base in counseling people of all ages. I am honored to work in this field and love what I do I do for a living. I have completed extensive training in Play Therapy and am currently a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. I lecture internationally in play therapy and parenting and have been a graduate level instructor at ASU. I also have completed over 120 hours of training in hypnotherapy, 110 hours of training in sand tray therapy and have completed Level 1 in EMDR.
I treat clients as young as 7. With the younger clients, I ask that the parents participate in every third session. Regardless of the age, parents are actively involved in the child's treatment. This is done through parent education and family therapy, while carefully maintaining the child's confidentiality and trust.
