When you find yourself emotionally overwhelmed, or behaviorally stuck facing what feels to be an unsolvable problem or issue, I bring compassion, empathy, and intelligence to my practice to help you through these difficulties and get back on track. This may occur in any one of the many arenas of your life, including your relationships, family, school, or work.
I work with couples, adults, children, adolescents, and families providing a clear roadmap to behavioral change and emotional well-being. I am dedicated and accountable to you as we create a collaborative plan for meeting your needs.
Using psychodynamic, cognitive, and experiential techniques, I work with relationship, intimacy, communication, parenting and family issues, relief from stress, trauma (trained in EMDR), depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, or career and life transitions. As a former school psychologist, I work with children with school and childhood disabilities such as ADHD.
I have developed an interpersonal approach with couples (and families) called 'Psychodynamic Mediation' to rekindle amicability and intimacy.
Insight alone, or emotional expression, while often necessary, may not be sufficient for sustainable change. It is real-life change that truly motivates us and furthers our personal journey.
