Now licensed in California and Oregon. When we allow ourselves to connect with our physical experience it often allows us to move through our emotional experience with more ease. Life is full of big emotions. Using tools like mindfulness and body/mind awareness, I help clients build a library of coping strategies for various challenges to empower them to manage the big feelings that arise. This framework works aids in improve a variety of issues and difficulties, but some of the challenges I work with people most often in are anxiety, depression, life transitions and repatterning behaviors and relational interactions.
Approaching therapy through the lens of Somatics, I utilize the body/mind connection to help inform us as we move through the therapeutic process both individually and in couples work. In addition to adults of all ages, I have done extensive work with 3-6 year olds and adolescents which has given me a big picture view of human development.
I do not believe therapy is a one size fits all process so I offer a variety of methods and techniques to facilitate the experience, including more traditional talk therapy, somatic therapy, play therapy, psycho-education, and work with creative arts.
