I am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist. I've also practiced meditation in the Zen tradition for about 20 years, so I specialize in counseling couples and individuals who want to incorporate a more mindful way of being in life. We do this by exploring the present moment: looking at what is happening in the body, the mind, and the spirit--right here, right now. I help clients unlock old, painful patterns, and together we look at what is truly informing the emotional reactions and thought patterns governing our lives, so that a more awake and more joyful life can be lived.
Clients have called me warm and funny. Life is hard sometimes for all of us, and as we stumble along trying to integrate and understand what is going on, it helps to have a sense of humor, and, ultimately, to love and appreciate ourselves and our friends and family for who we truly are.
I have a Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy with a concentration in Sex Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University, and have had extensive internships at The Council For Relationships and The Institute For Sex Therapy.
