Psychotherapy is a unique opportunity to observe, name, and reflect on the emotions, behaviors, thoughts, and experiences that constitute one's suffering. With attentive, empathic, non-judgmental listening and observations, I help each person and/or couple develop over time. Such developments are emotional tolerance, self-acceptance, boundaries, relational safety, improved capacity for intimacy, and/or insight into one’s developmental history. A belief central to my practice is that (a) what one is experiencing is what is possible for the present moment, and (b) change is possible.
Office hours: Mon/Tues/Weds/Thus
I have been in private practice since 2004, and from 2003 to 2013 I was on staff at Yale Health providing individual, couples and group therapy to Yale students and their spouses. I have also worked in community mental health clinics and inpatient psychiatric hospitals.
