Gregory Powell

Psychologist , PhD

(301) 684-5008 x15
I am a professional, solution-focused therapist with 25 years of experience helping adults, adolescents, and couples address a wide range of emotional and life-stress difficulties. I view therapy as a problem-solving process requiring safety, understanding, reliable feedback, and practice. It's truly a partnership in reducing tension and improving the quality of life. I work with clients to achieve these ends through realistic thinking and effective action. Our discussions are fun, warm, and challenging.
My clinical specialties include marital therapy, treatment of anxiety and depression, management of job stress/career issues, and family therapy, especially regarding adolescent concerns and addictions.
I split my time between psychotherapy and organizational consultation on issues of coaching/executive development, team development, conflict resolution, assessment for new hires, and strategic planning. I find that problem-solving in psychotherapy and in business consultation enhance one another to the benefit of my clients.
