It is my goal to provide clients with tools to improve their lives, to cope effectively, and to effectively deal with the transitions and stresses of life. I assist individuals, couples, and families in resolving issues which are personal or are causing challenges in their relationships, while developing skills for successful, more positive interactions with others. My extensive education (a minor in Early Childhood, completed in my Ph.D. program), training, and experience working with children and families contribute to helpful parent consultation and coaching for effective parenting of your children. As a former play therapist of 20+ years, I helped young clients learn to manage their emotions and behaviors.
With a positive, encouraging, and compassionate approach to helping clients improve their coping abilities, learn to assert healthy boundaries, and achieve increased life satisfaction, I have assisted many individuals and families throughout my career.
