My name is Michelle Hoff, LMFT, LIMHP, NCC. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups. I have experienced with helping individuals who suffer with depression, anxiety, addiction, family dynamic issues, relational conflicts, stress, trauma and abuse, personality issues, spiritual and military issues. My counseling style is warm and understanding. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

I would describe my approach as insight-oriented and holistic. I want to help you learn more about who you are and how your past has affected you, so that you can identify the patterns that are helpful in the present and those that are no longer working. I have over 10 years of experience working with complex trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and dissociative disorders, as well as experience with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also have specialized training in art therapy that some clients really find helpful, especially those that don't love the typical talk therapy approach.

Sanctuary Psychotherapy and Wellness, LLC was formed out of my passion to provide just what the definition of the word Sanctuary implies: a place of refuge and/or safety. I have worked in the addictions and behavioral health field since 2005. I am a dually licensed therapist; I am an Independently Licensed Mental Health Therapist and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I am an EMDR therapist and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy including mind, body, and spirit. I encourage clients to think of their mental health as just as important as physical health. It is all connected!
