As a mindfulness based therapist I focus on the importance of developing a relationship to self through the body.
I believe therapy can be the greatest gift one can give themselves. It is an intentional time for personal growth. As humans we all find ourselves at some point feeling stuck and without choice. As a holistic centered therapist I believe that innate wholeness lives within us all and that wholeness is accessible through meaningful, supportive, connection. Together we will create a safe space that you can explore and ignite the parts of yourself that will guide you toward your values and creating a vital and full life. I'm committed to serving anyone curious and open to change.

You’ve already taken the first step toward creating the life you want by searching for the support you need. Whether you’re an individual or a couple looking for renewed hope, healing, or growth, just know that you don’t have to go on this worthwhile journey alone. The fact that you’re here now, looking for ways to make things better tells me that a part of you knows you deserve more. Life is too short to surrender to unhealthy relationship patterns, constant anxiety or anger, disconnection from yourself and others, or staying trapped in past traumas. Together let’s build a present and future that is honest and fulfilling for you.

EMDR treats various trauma including "smaller" traumas such as relationship losses and career issues that impact your daily functioning.
Do you feel sad, stressed, angry or easily frustrated, or have any other mood issues that do not seem to go away? Are you worried about how your mood effects your daily functioning and those around you? Are you having problems at work, home? If so, keep reading. I have had over 25 years of experience working with college students, adults, seniors, various ethnic groups, and LGBTQ clients. I use a varying approach to therapy including CBT which is great for changing negative thoughts and behaviors. I enjoy a comfortable and direct approach in order to help people deal with life's challenges. I am originally from the Boston area.

Making the decision to begin counseling can be difficult and finding a therapist that is a good match can be equally overwhelming. I work to create a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment to make it easier to start the process. Everyone enters therapy at a different place, and I work to meet clients where they are. My approach is primarily relational because the quality of the client-therapist relationship can serve as the catalyst for change.

I believe that healing cannot occur unless a solid therapeutic relationship is built and maintained.
I approach therapy with the intent to get to know you on a core level. This includes understanding your feelings, thoughts, behaviors, desires, and relationships. We then collaboratively use this information to make meaning of your experiences both past and present. I pay attention to your emotional presence and seek to understand how your past experiences may be leading you to protect yourself from vulnerability and uncomfortable feelings. This understanding can help you engage more actively with yourself and enriches your interpersonal relationships.

I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I would describe myself as a transparent and relational therapist. Going through any phase of life can have its tough times. Life stress and transitions can influence anxiety, depression, relationships, and more. I believe having a safe space to talk through your thoughts and feelings can transform your mental health. However difficult these times may be, I believe it can take time and support to explore how each person can have a voice in how they process their thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. I offer video sessions and in-person sessions.

I am willing to go walk through challenges with those I work with and look forward to forming a professional relationship that can support growth.
Reaching out for support is the first step! Difficult friendships, periods of self-doubt, trauma, and major life changes often place people in situations were extra support is helpful. In these moments, we often want a sounding board, a nonjudgemental place, and most importantly to be seen and heard.

Meaningful healing, growth, and change often take place in the context of a relationship.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas. I have 8+ years of experience working with individuals coming from a range of circumstances and backgrounds. My formative work primarily involved working with adolescents, families, and couples dealing with crises in a social service setting. Through that experience, I found that my true passion lies within a few specialties: couples & family counseling, adolescents & young adults, LGBTQI+, EMDR, stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
