I help teenagers, young adults and families going through difficult times to move towards better health and harmony. I can help you find the strength and strategies you need to move forward better. My passion and the majority of my experience is in helping teenagers and families work through struggles, emotional challenges or to set and reach personal life goals. I consider my approach to be relational, empathetic, and solution-focused. While difficult circumstances of the past can't be changed, we can work together to better understand, and redeem difficult challenges, and change course in your future.

I am a strengths based therapist who works with adults, adolescents and children. I enjoy working with people who are experiencing anxiety, depression and stress. I am solution focused and utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness skills to help my clients with regulating their emotional ups and downs as well as slowing down the stream of thoughts they often experience due to busy, hectic lives.

Everyone has a time in their life when they need help. I have been helping people understand their difficulties and develop strategies and skills to overcome those struggles for over 15 years. As a clinical Social Worker I have worked in many different therapeutic settings aiding individuals with various problems including depression, anxiety, family and couples issues, academic difficulties, and health and wellness struggles. I have been practicing psychotherapy with individuals and families for over 25 years. My style is interactive and I utilize an eclectic mix of psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive behavioral approaches tailored to meet your individual and unique needs. I strive to provide a warm and supportive environment in which we can explore and better understand the issues and concerns you bring forward.

My Ideal client: 36 yo male, divorced, with two children. The patient was incarcerated 16 years, due to drug addiction/trafficking. He spent his early childhood living with his mother and father, who sexually abused him. They were also addicted to drugs due to their childhood experiences of being abused. The patient's parents also prostituted him in exchange for drugs for others. The patient turned to drugs to escape the pain, embarrassment, and overall trauma from his childhood. He now wants sobriety and to overcome his trauma, which includes flashbacks and negative self-image, self-hatred, and hatred of his parents.

My ideal client is someone who is willing to work with me and engage with me effectively. This includes open lines of communication and utilizing therapy times efficiently. I don't believe that progress can be rushed and have no interest in "fixing" anyone. However, I am always honest in my assessments, thoughts, and opinions with clients, and my hope is that my client will do the same. My ideal client is a client who is eager to talk and is open to feedback. My ideal client is also someone who is willing to work through set backs or challenges, together as a team.

My ideal client has either experienced a past trauma and/or is dealing with anxiety or depression. This client can be someone diagnosed with ASD, as I enjoy working with neurodiverse populations. This client should want guidance and support to develop emotional regulation skills, build positive relationships with others, or process their emotional experiences. I can help support those going through various life transitions, as well as help people develop self-awareness and understanding.
