My passion of enabling individuals with special needs reach their potential. For the past 30 years, I have been working with people with all types of special needs-intellectual disabilities, head injuries, physical disabilities and dementia. Because I have seen both sides of the coin, being learning disabled with dyslexia and teaching special needs clients, I have a unique perspective that makes me effective in integrating people with special needs into their environment.

I find the greatest fulfillment when I experience a sense of belonging and deep connection in my relationships, work, and community. As a holistic, neurodiversity affirming therapist, my goal is to ensure that every child and parent feels a genuine sense of belonging. I firmly believe that families and caregivers hold a unique and influential role in shaping a child's self-perception from an early age. In our journey together, we will establish a warm, collaborative, and safe environment where we can openly explore behavioral challenges and delve into the dynamics of your family.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, with a certificate in Animal-Assisted Therapy. I work with individuals 3 years old and up. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy. Most of my work entails treating symptoms of trauma, depression and anxiety. I also offer parenting consultation and skill building. For those interested, I offer canine-assisted therapy services. I will work with you to uncover, reduce or eliminate whatever barriers are getting in the way of achieving the lifestyle you want.

For over 25 years I have worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, people who may find themselves struggling through a life crisis, interpersonal struggles, or just wanting to improve the quality of their own life. I proudly adhere to my social work Code of Ethics, and work in an atmosphere free of any judgement or shame. I am always mindful and respectful of boundaries and confidentiality. I have a full time practice where I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families.
