I have experience in treating children & teens with a wide variety of mental health concerns . I have trauma focused training in both TF-CBT & Child Parent Psychotherapy(CPP). As a social worker, life coach, and trauma professional, I am here to help clients reach their goals of overcoming life challenges, growing in new ways, and helping develop new positive goals and ways of doing things. Additionally, I work with LGBTQ+ Clients on coming out, identity development, and gender identity issues. I provide a safe place for clients to explore the challenges facing them.

I am an LICSW Psychotherapist in Alabama who can help you break free from limiting thoughts and beliefs that create fear, anxiety, depression and emotional pain. As a trauma-informed therapist, I also seek to reduce self-sabotaging behaviors and patterns of toxic relationships. I provide a wide variety of psychoeducational materials and techniques to promote a higher level of knowledge, insight and coping skills. ALL of us (Especially Todays Veterans) have had Experiences or been in Circumstances that can cause over-whelming Emotional Problems: Nightmares, Feelings of Impending Doom, Intense Nervousness and Depression which can leave us feeling out of control... Counseling is a good first step to begin to heal. I offer Assessment and Counseling to address: Personal - Family - Marital 'Life's' Issues and 'Veteran's' Issues (Primarily those that resulted in 'PTSD.'). I will help and encourage you in telling your 'story'. 'Living in-to the events' that caused your distress is essential for you to be able to move on.

We will begin with your current symptoms, dysfunctions, or just plain unhappiness. 98% of the time we are the walking wounded trying to function as if we are "fine" and nothing is "bothering me". This state of constant repression of our emotions will cause anxiety, depression, physical illness, phobias, and eventually an event will happen that leads to emotional crisis....the proverbial last straw.
