I have a M.S. in Marriage, Family, and Couple’s Counseling, with a concentration in Trauma and Crisis. I am a LPC that is passionate in working with adolescents, individuals, LGBTQ and couples in a variety of issues; anxiety, depression, relationship issues, infidelity, stress, PTSD, grief, domestic and sexual abuse. I believe in providing a safe and nonjudgmental space for my clients. My clients and I will work together on steps towards achieving the goals they set.

My ideal clients (Individuals, Marriage, Pre-marital, Couples, Families, and Groups) are committed to exploring their feelings, thoughts and emotions in a judgement free atmosphere, while embarking on a journey of holistic healing and Spiritual enlightenment. These clients are desiring solutions to managing life hardships with unpredictable/unexpected circumstances of everyday living and more. My clients are also searching for Christian/Scientific and evidence based counseling sessions that encompass a 10 week trek, but not limited to.

Misha Burkett is a graduate clinician nearing completion of her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Misha understands the importance of mental health and believes that everyone should have access to quality therapeutic services and resources. She also believes that therapy should create a space for personal growth and unique goals to be achieved. By applying knowledge from her education, research-based interventions, clinical training, and personal experiences she hopes to walk with individuals, couples, and families as they strive to reach their full potential and live more harmonious and happier lives together.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. I enjoy working with individuals, families, and couples. My experience and training thus far have centered around Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. I am passionate about helping individuals and their families navigate healing from trauma. There are many factors that go into working with trauma, so I have experience helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, and triggers just to name a few. I am also big on helping clients with their boundaries. Typically, clients are seeking to heal from their trauma which looks different for everyone. So, goals look different for everyone.

Throughout my career, I have probably worked with every single situation in the counseling field. I have worked inpatient, outpatient, and telepatient. I have worked in prisons, jails, psychiatric hospitals, IDD facilities, community MHMR, and community counseling centers. My specialties include drug and alcohol addiction, trauma, major depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, stress, marital problems, anger management, and people with LGBTQ issues.
