She works with adults and families in the areas of anger management, suicide prevention, parenting skills, and marriage counseling. With over 19 years of experience providing a broad range of mental health services, my current practice strongly emphasizes providing therapeutic interventions for children with behavioral and emotional challenges, while also welcoming the opportunity to work with families, individuals and couples needing counseling services. Over the course of my career, I have gained experience in many elements of the mental health field. Some of those include clinical intake, general counseling, marital counseling, crisis intervention, crisis management, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and child behavior management.

Master level Counselor (LPC, LMFT, LCDC, NCC, EMDR certified). My primary focus is trauma work through EMDR, Expressive Arts, REBT, and DBT, Family Therapy through Experiential and Structural Therapy, and Addiction Therapy with Motivational Interviewing and Twelve Steps. I also have experience working with children and adolescents using Play Therapy, Animal Assisted Therapy, and Expressive Arts.

I specialize in treating adults and adolescents who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I also have experience treating addiction, personality, and mood disorders. It brings me great satisfaction to help individuals enhance their quality of life by working through intrusive and overwhelming thoughts. I believe in the power of humor to diffuse tension and create a comfortable environment, so I often incorporate it into our sessions. I focus on helping you identify your goals and developing a collaborative approach to achieve them.

Ryann’s clinical experience includes play therapy, expressive arts therapy, group therapy, couples counseling, and individual talk-therapy. She has also worked with domestic violence survivors in Dallas shelters running psycho-educational groups and expressive art therapy groups with clients. She is passionate about working with adults and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, behavioral struggles, chronic illness, grief, self-esteem, life transitions and daily life stressors. Ryann also works with couples experiencing relational distress/conflict.
