Hi, I’m Gabby! I'm a licensed and national board-certified counselor that has 12 years of experience in the human services field. I’ve previously provided individual, family/marital and group counseling in schools, communities, community agencies, residential homes/treatment centers, a juvenile shelter/detention center and an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility. My work with a variety of populations across settings has helped me to build skills working with many populations, but I specialize in treating anxiety, depression and other life issues in adults. I currently own and operate Total Wellness, a private practice.

In-office and Virtual Sessions are available for Couples, Individuals (adults and children), and Families. Specialize in Couples and Adolescents. Many clients are challenged with Depression, Anxiety, Grief, Loss, Adjustment or transition into College, a new job, or Adulthood, Relationship Conflicts, Communication, Intimacy, ADHD, Trauma, Self-Harm, Gender Identity, and Drug/Alcohol addictions.

The human experience is complex and layered. It is often taken for granted and underestimated. In our profession, it is a privilege to have access to such complexities; a privilege to witness the moment when despair transforms into hope and futility no longer exists. Humans are vast and exploration is limitless. As a psychologist, I would be remiss by engaging my work without intentionality, humility, and culturally appropriate care. As someone with marginalized identities, I find value in reflecting in the moment with clients. I use a multicultural counseling model to address the unique needs of clients of color and LGBTQ+ folks.

Lois supports adults struggling to connect with others, establish healthy boundaries, or communicate within their current relationships due to early childhood trauma. She utilizes a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens to support clients with unconditional regard and occasional humor. Based upon a client’s needs and preferences, her clinical orientation can include a blend of AEDP, family systems, trauma-healing, strengths-based, and narrative therapy. Lois strives to provide a loving "no judgement zone" for clients to pursue their healing. She serves as a cheerleader in her clients' journey towards NEW hope and resilience.

My counseling practice focuses on improving interpersonal relationships and communication within families, couples and individuals. My passion is helping clients manage life transitions, loss, anxiety, anger, depression, family conflict, addictions, and chronic illness. I approach therapy in a collaborative process, your participation plays an integral role in how therapy progresses. Together, we will establish goals and plans that we feel are attainable and will best meet your needs. I believe individuals and families are capable of making meaningful changes in their lives based on strengths they already possess. Our work together will enhance your existing resources.

I have a deep belief that life should be enjoyed. There are many things that can create limits in life, and whether it is our own fault, or someone else's, these limits do not have to keep us from enjoying life. I have extensive work with people who have struggled with drug and alcohol addictions, sexual addictions, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, trauma, as well as parenting and adoption concerns. I have seen clients achieve balance in life, greater self-awareness, and overcome ways of thinking and behavior that have limited life's enjoyment and success.
