We may find that we embrace unhelpful beliefs about ourselves and others after experiencing difficulties. Befriending and/or challenging the inner critic is essential and enlightening; this process will even be fun at times! Thoughts, feelings, behaviors, relationships, and environment are dynamically intertwined. My therapeutic approach, developed over 27 years, is for someone who struggles being stuck but is tired of past failures, events, etc., and feels like they really want to fix the problems in their individual life and/or in their relationships. Emotionally Focused Therapy training allows for a deep resolution to individual, couple and family issues. I am one of 8 EFT Therapist/Supervisors in the state of Arizona. I am passionate about helping people resolve the ROOT of their issues not only the symptoms. EFT is incredible at really resolving relationship challenges like affairs, children challenges, and just being disconnected.

Jannalee Evans is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in professional counseling. She has additional training in EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Sand Tray, Structural Dissociation, Psychodrama and the Soul Reading Method. Jannalee’s focus is compassion and insight, helping clients become more self-aware and self loving. She provides a safe environment in which to explore emotions, beliefs, experiences, and relationships. Jannalee honors the internal wisdom within each of us and helps clients connect to their own intuition.

I am a licensed associate marriage and family therapist who has a passion for helping individuals, adolescents, couples and families navigate relationships where solutions for many of life’s problems seem difficult to find. I have worked extensively with trauma, anxiety, depression, and couples. I also have a background in Expressive Art Therapy and Music, and incorporate these in therapy if appropriate.

Family relationships can be the most rewarding and long-lasting. Sometimes additional support is needed to help relationships flourish. I work with teens to develop coping skills and help families increase resilience. Growing up can be so tough! My specialties include gender dysphoria and resolving faith crises. In couples therapy, I utilize EFT to help couples repair bonds strained from miscommunication, disengagement, or unmet needs.
