I am a LCSW, licensed psychotherapist with 20 years of experience and 25 years of social services and ministry outreach, providing individual and family therapy by utilizing a strengths-based, collaborative, holistic approach, allowing me to gain a clearer sense of my clients' mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and find viable and alternative solutions to reach a more balanced and optimal level of coping and functioning.

Laura Calin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Laura has experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. With her experience, she understands the diverse needs of each patient. As her patient, you will undergo an assessment to determine what your goals are. Once that is determined, Laura creates a plan designed for you. Laura provides the highest level of care, a trusting environment, and a non-judgemental setting for all her patients. Her goal is to help them so that they can see their own potential. She works with ages 10 - 65 and has been working in the field since 1995.

I specialize in conducting Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations and Forensic Evaluations as follows: Immigration Evaluations (U-Visa, Hardship Waivers, Political Asylum, Domestic Violence/Abuse victimization), Risk Assessment, Competency to Proceed, Mitigation Evaluations for criminal cases, Juvenile (DJJ) Comprehensive Evaluations; and Psycho-Educational Evaluations-gifted placement. I also provide brief psychotherapy for clients with mental health struggles within my areas of expertise. Other professional services I can offer are Individual and/or Group Supervision for MHC and MFT interns to meet FL licensure requirements.

My counseling has a strong expertise in addiction, with other strengths in anxiety, depression, and thought disorders. In my practice I establish an environment that facilitates consistency and reliability to help my clients focus on themselves. Additionally, my counseling establishes flexibility to assist my clients to pursue their life and mental health goals. I am trained in EMDR and use it frequently in the treatment of distressing symptoms for both teens and adults.

The Center for Individual and Family Counseling (CIFC) is a community mental health center that provides comprehensive outpatient counseling services to families, children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. Our goal is to assist individuals in verbalizing and processing their issues, emotions, feelings, addictions, and more regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or religion. We seek to assist those individuals who are in need of mental health services in order to improve their quality of life. We speak English and Spanish.
