I have more than twenty years working with all populations & ethnic groups in individual, group, couples and family therapy. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders , trauma, anger management ,depression, post traumatic stress disorder, autism spectrum disorders and substance use. I have experience in conducting sex offender evaluations, anger evaluations, and trauma evaluations. I have experience working with court involved youth. My methods of therapies are cognitive behavioral, psycho-dynamic & motivational interviewing. I accept most major insurances including all Mass Health Plans. I am accepting new clients. My office is located in a professional building near downtown New Bedford.

Steve has worked in the field of addiction since 2016, with extensive experience in the following levels of care: inpatient, outpatient including medicated assisted treatment, residential, and intensive outpatient services. Steve employs Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Strength Based techniques to promote healthy behavior change. Recognizing behavior change can be challenging however achievable. Clients who contact me typically have unresolved trauma that has led to illicit substance use. Clients express a desire to feel better in order to stop self-medicating with illicit drugs and/or alcohol.
