My goal is to recognize each person's individual needs for therapy so they may find clarity surrounding their feelings, thoughts and relationships. I believe that therapy provides a safe place to receive guidance, through a nurturing therapeutic relationship, where they can explore issues in their life, set goals for change and healing, learn more effective coping skills and work towards greater fulfillment and happiness in their daily lives.

I now only work online through Skype. I have worked with a variety of issues over my 30 years in my profession. I have been an Adjunct Instructor in the UN-O Graduate Counseling Department, Consultant to area psychiatric programs, Director of Outpatient programs, and a presenter to a wide range of businesses as well as my outpatient practice. I like the diversity of my practice in terms of diagnostic features rather than a particular specialty. My many years of practice have allowed me to work with such a wide range of circumstances and issues.

I have worked in the Omaha and surrounding communities for over 30 years in community service agency and private practice . I am licensed for both mental health and alcohol/drug counseling. I have had the opportunity to experience a wide variety of issues that people bring to psychotherapy as well as being mentored by leading practitioners in the area. My general area of practice involves treating adolescents and adults with concerns or questions related to depression/anxiety, substance abuse, relationship/marriage, sexual orientation/gender identity/coming out, and trauma. As the parent of a child/teen that struggles with their wounded selves, you have tried everything. The exhaustive interventions that you have tried are going nowhere fast. Throwing in the towel is all that you have left. Your marriage is more daunting than it is invigorating and you keep hitting a wall with connecting to one another. Depression has you stuck in quicksand and the struggle is consuming you. Anxiety has its grip on you and it is controlling your life. You find yourself asking what more can you do? You feel all alone in your struggles and are having more moments of frustration than joy. Asking for help is hard.

Ms. Salvatore has over 22 years of experience in both mental health and substance abuse facilities.

I will establish a safe and secure therapeutic environment, free of judgement and pre-conceived notions.
