I do speak some Mandarin but require that clients also speak some English.

My approach to counseling is that of a “fellow traveler” who takes the journey alongside of you in a way that is calm, open, supportive, empathic, and actively engaged with you at all times. I bring a unique existential approach to counseling that helps you in the “here and now,” and daily lived experiences of your life. I work with couples and individual’s ages 13-70. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, intimacy issues (physical and emotional), LGBTQIA issues, men’s issues, marital conflict, sexual addiction, and complex personal life struggles. Candra Edwards is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 12 years of mental health experience. She is passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families identify, confront, and resolve unique challenges in order to live more fulfilling lives. Candra also works with women as they manage emotional challenges relative to pregnancy. She specializes in depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, peri/postpartum health, and grief and loss.

I enjoy working with children 5+ who are struggling with anxiety, family issues, and self-esteem. I also enjoy working with Latinx, first generation, and queer-identified individuals who are exploring their identity and relationships. Charis Foundation has two counseling therapeutic opportunities: 1.) Charis Counseling Wellness Center, a out patient service, is dedicated to providing non-judgmental treatment for Adults, Adolescents, Children, individuals, couples, and families. We are committed to non-biased assessment and treatment our clients, with respect to their cultural, ethnic, sexual, and religious difference, in an effort to gain insight, promote wellness and encourage healing and growth. 2.) Serenity Grace Farm is dedicated to equine therapy, Therapeutic Horseback Riding, and other horse riding activities. This works towards enhancing and improving physical, emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and educational skills. Trail rides, party opportunities, special events for focus groups such as service groups, churches, civic organizations, and special needs are also part of the repertoire of therapeutic experiences available.

Charlie B. Counselman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate located in the Morrisville, North Carolina area. Charlie specializes in meeting his clients virtually via tele-health to treat those looking for help with Depression, Anxiety, Men’s Issues, Alcohol and Substance Use Issues, Marriage and Relationships Issues, and Process Addictions. Charlie utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing Therapy, and 12-step Facilitation.

Journey Through Life, PLLC sees all kinds of families that maybe hurting from divorce, grief, blended families and broken relationships. In addition, the practice specializes in significant and marital relationships. I am a queer, Black, fully-licensed therapist (LCSW) with over 10 years of clinical experience. I’ve worked with individuals as they face a terminal diagnosis; with patients who have experienced losses in their relationships and livelihood due to mental illness or a chronic condition; with couples as they navigate role shifts, parenting, and caregiving of elder family members; with clients whose life experience of social marginalization have led to depression; and with those presenting to their primary care doctor for stomach pain and heart palpitations, only to learn that anxiety is the root cause.
