I have extensive theoretical training and practical experience in psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, and dialectic behavior therapy, and I can work effectively using a short term, more focused approach, as well as an open ended, exploratory approach.

I have experience with Mood Disorders, depression, grief and bereavement, childhood trauma, child sexual trauma, PTSD, growing up in foster care, teen parents, domestic violence, cultural/identify issues. I have experience working with ages 4 - 75 years old. I have a passion for the minority communities especially the third culture population with issues such as culture shock and assimilation.

Umang has been practicing for over 10 years working with adults and children offering therapy from a holistic, integrative approach using neuroscience, clinical psychology, and mindfulness practices. Working with clients on a broad range of issues including, those who struggle with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family.
