I began working in mental health at a psychiatric hospital as a Mental Health Tech, where I worked for two years while earning my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I then work at this facility for five years as an Admission's Specialist, while I completed Master of Science degrees in Psychology, and Applied Behavior Analysis, and a Doctor of Psychology. As Admission's Specialist, I worked Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 8pm-8am. This exposed me to a variety of individuals with active mental issues. I consider those times as unique and important to my education helping others.

My ideal client is an individual interested in a professional that can assist them in being better, having healthy relationships, and developing skills that can enhance their life and those they encounter. We all have problems and I can help clients learn the skills to overcome any issue and have a healthier mind and life!

I hold two doctorates one in psychology and a master's degree in clinical mental health care, and professional counseling making me a highly qualified professional counselor, clinician, and therapist. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). My expertise lies in providing talk therapy to individuals of all ages, including adolescents, adults, seniors, families, and groups. To ensure the best outcomes for my clients, I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy as an initial approach. This allows me to effectively address their specific situations and circumstances.

We all encounter problems at different stages in life. Some are easy to handle, whereas others leave us hurt, confused, and hopeless. Our brain is an important organ, and it can get sick, just like any of the other organs in our body. What it takes to heal differs between person to person. Our patients are individuals, couples or groups who have been struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorder and other behavioral challenges that have made ordinary day to day functioning impossible or extremely difficult. Through evidence-based clinical mental health therapy that includes EMDR, CBT, DBT, and SFBT, we assess, and diagnose individuals, couples and groups providing evidenced-based treatment plans.

I believe we all have the capacity to improve our lives and understand ourselves more fully. It takes a great deal of courage to ask for help. Appreciating and respecting that courage, my work is to help my clients attain their goals. We do this together as a team. Being stuck personally or professionally is poignantly uncomfortable. Together we can move thru and beyond this state and get to the other side. To address your individuality I utilize a wide array of interventions: mindfulness-based talk therapy, somatic techniques, art therapy, music therapy.

A family systems and psychodynamically trained therapist, she devises systems of treatment based on the individual needs of her patients. Peggy has offered workshops at universities and hospitals across the Midwest, including Washington University and the United Way. From her initial work at a New York hospital to her current private practice, Peggy has shown genuine commitment to helping her clients reach their full potential, emphasizing the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

I have been in private practice for over 35 years. I meet the client where they are at and more importantly assist them in where they want to be. I strive to help in the most professional and respectful way and value each and every opportunity to be in the lives of those who want to live the life they want. I have particular experience with adults in midlife crisis, couples counseling, and adolescents experiencing, school problems, behavior problems, parent/child conflict, and trauma. I have experience with individual therapy, parent/child conflict, divorce, alternative relationships and LGBTQIA issues. I specialize in trauma treatment for all age groups.
