Jey is a first-generation Korean-American woman who understands firsthand the challenges of living with marginalized identities and navigating between different cultural values and expectations. With her 12+ years of clinical experience in the mental health field, she provides a unique blend of trauma-informed psychotherapy with integrated healing modalities.

Using a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychology, and a Family Systems approach, I can help you recognize and better understand how an individual action may affect yourself and others.

Sisu Healing Partners provides therapy, sober companions, family coaching, interventions and sober transports. We are a team of highly trained individuals who strive to help guide your loved one on their journey to recovery. We work along side clients to help them create an environment that is safe for recovery. We believe that through healing the family system we can better support the individual on their road to recovery. Our goal is to create a creative and outside the box approach to recovery from use, eating disorders and other mental health disorders.

No matter how big the issue is, the possibility exists for you to become a better you and handle your issues. I have over 10 years working as a multicultural counselor and psychiatric social worker both in Oregon State and South Korea. My therapeutic approach is authentic/direct and compassionate. In therapy, I explore where the problems began and what factors perpetuate the problems. Sessions focus on connecting to emotions, improving communication skills, finding empathy for people around you, and conflict resolution. I view counseling as a collaborative effort between me and my clients. I am excellent with a play therapy.

I firmly believe that the family is the foundation for all positive culture and society. If the married couple remains strong, the family will most likely be healthy, thus avoiding many troubles caused by separation or divorce. I long to help families become strong and healthy so that the children may feel secure and confident at home. I desire to work with children, teens, individuals, and couples on a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, Multicultural/Identity issues, infertility, marital concerns, adjustment to life transitions, parenting skills, as well as spiritual concerns.
