I am a licensed clinical psychologist who is passionate about the treatment of children, adolescents and their families. In 1996, I founded Psychology & Counseling Associates, a community-focused mental health practice with more than a dozen highly trained mental health professionals. My experience includes both outpatient and inpatient settings. I am ready to assist you and your loved ones with the mental, behavioral and emotional issues that impact your life.

I attended Harding University and graduated with my B.A. in Psychology and my M.S. in Counseling. I have 24 years of experience in the mental health field. I primarily treat adults who are suffering from depression, anxiety, trama, PTSD, relationship issues, grief, bipolar disorder, and personality disorder. I believe that every client I treat deserves respect and has the ability to empower themselves to meet their individual life goals. I love what I do and I appreciate every client who walks through my door. I have a specialization in grief therapy and trauma.

I specialize in Equine Therapy as well as traditional office psychotherapy. I take a mindfulness approach to "holding space" for my clients. I also recently completed an externship and Core Skills in Emotion Focused Therapy which allows me to do some pretty tough work with couples seeking joint therapy. I am also undergoing supervision for Trauma Focused CBT.

I have been a practicing clinical psychologist since 1979. I can personally attest to how much I have improved as a therapist with that thirty years of experience. I have learned how important it is to help an individual find their own solutions to their unique problems. I do this in a context of cognitive behavioral therapy, as this approach has been proven to be as effective in the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders as medication.

I want to start by saying that I truly hold a solid belief that each and every human deserves to feel happiness, love, excitement, contentment, and ultimately to achieve their dreams, desires, goals, and best-selves! I implement an integrative approach, with a craving to help. Whether that assistance be with a child struggling with ADHD, an individual learning to cope with anxiety/depression, a couple struggling, or an entire family in need, I am devoted to seeking out and destroying the obstacles, strongholds, cognitive distortions, or whatever the “problem” is that is impeding their ability to live happy, healthy, fulfilled lives.
