I believe throughout our lives, from childhood to adulthood there are circumstances that cause us to lose sight of our true authentic self. I value taking time to develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust in a safe environment. My sessions are casual, and I enjoy working as a team in developing goals and strategies. When working with children, I like to use play based techniques and movement to assist in regulation while discussing stressful topics. My client base consists of children, teens, young adults transitioning into adulthood and adults dealing with stressors that impact day to day functioning.

My name is Brooke Thorson and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Wisconsin. I have multiple years of experience working mostly with children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families of all backgrounds. As a practicing therapist, I feel privileged to be a part of peoples’ unique journeys in processing, coping, healing, and overcoming life stressors through strengths-based and client-centered approaches.

I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in child and family therapy. I see children ages 0-18 and/or their caregivers. I love to work with parents and caregivers in supporting and better understanding their little one(s). I can also offer support during the precious, and most stressful perinatal period.

We love to collaborate with clients to help them draw from their own expertise, build on their own positive values, discover their own skills, and use these new tools to work through conflicts and hardships. We are systems therapist. What that means is: we like to approach problems that people have within the context of social, political and cultural storylines that influence the way we view ourselves and our own personal stories. We use this same approach in family therapy to seek ways to change the way the family system works rather than trying to "fix" a specific family member.

I have 20+ years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families. I utilize a variety of insight and compassion focused, strength-based counseling techniques depending on client goals for therapy. One of my skills is helping clients make connections between their past experiences and current thoughts, feelings and behaviors, which promotes healing from trauma and grief. I believe therapy is a collaborative experience and want clients to feel comfortable, hopeful, and truly understood. I personalize my approach to counseling depending on a client’s age, reason for counseling, and desired outcomes.

I specialize in working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, who struggle with self trust and self esteem and who want to quiet their inner critic. Various life challenges such as parenting, job or relationship changes, physical health issues, or grieving the death of a loved one can bring stress and confusion. Working with me you will find care and support, learn mindfulness techniques and thought management strategies that are aimed at helping you get to know yourself better so that you are able to handle difficult emotions, make decisions with confidence and live your most authentic life.

Hello! My name is Kerri Pingel. I am independently licensed in Wisconsin. Children and families are my primary clinical focus. I work mainly with children who have experienced abuse or neglect, trauma, self-harm or suicide tendencies, and foster care/adoption. Before counseling, I was a houseparent for teenage girls in a residential setting and I also worked for an international anti-child sex trafficking organization.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin with over 17 years of experience. I currently enjoy working with adults (18-64) through individual, virtual therapy. I'm trained in behavioral therapies (CBT, DBT) but use an integrative and trauma-informed approach with clients primarily experiencing depression and anxiety. My other areas of focus include general stress management, parenting, relationship stress, adjusting to life transitions, women's mental health, family of origin issues, ADHD, and adoption.
