I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the State of New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Arizona. I specialize in treating Eating Disorders, trauma, addictions, anxiety and depression. I work collaboratively with a team of professionals who specialize in eating disorders; including therapists, nutritionists, medical doctors and Dr. Jeffrey DeSarbo, Psychiatrist, Founder and Medical Director of ED-180. I am a Trauma-Informed Therapist; Certified in EMDR and an Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist.

My experience includes work with troubled teens in a variety of contexts. I have 15 years experience as a provider for the courts providing mediation, counseling, therapeutic supervision and evaluations for families in the transitions of divorce. I am also a skilled relationship and marital therapist. I specialize in men's issues. I have also had extensive experience in anger management, depression and anxiety disorders.

I work with people using a variety of philosophies, but those encompassing humanistic and psychodynamic theories inform most of my practice. This generally means I am most interested in focusing on emotions, insight, relationships, past experiences, meta-emotion, self-worth, authenticity, fantasies, and the unconscious. I rely heavily on discussing shame, vulnerability, emotional needs, and creating meaning in life. I am fairly non-directive, and I will be most focused on helping you find your own authentic path by reflecting and exploring deeper meanings and patterns that arise in our discussions.

I am the best fit for a family who has children between the ages from birth to 24 years old. I offer support to families who are struggling with challenging behaviors from their children and adolescents in home or at school. I offer a unique systemic approach that includes parents in the treatment process that is not found in many other practices. This systemic approach is extremely affective and helps keep parents in the loop and helps families complete the treatment goal faster than other approaches. As I believe therapy for children should be brief and solution focused so they can get back to being a kid.
