I had a psychology practice in Austin for 20 years, relocating to Albuquerque in 2012. As an outgrowth of my continuing work with clients from Texas, I have developed a specialty in providing internet therapy. My specialties include eating disorders, complex mood disorders, personality disorders, recovery from narcissistic abuse, and helping families with "failure to launch" young adults. I also provide consultation to parents who are struggling with an oppositional adolescent or an adult child with ongoing difficulties. I provide both therapeutic and forensic psychological evaluations.

The client is willing to engage in the therapeutic work with their time and energy in the effort to move toward healing.

No matter the stories you bring in or the identities that you hold, my aim is to create a safe space for you to find healing. I have experience with clients of all ages, from littles to the more-seasoned. I have worked with interpersonal violence survivors, borderline personality disorder, complex PTSD, LGBTQ+ populations, empty-nesters, neurodivergent folk, and those experiencing faith deconstruction or spiritual abuse. I am now taking virtual clients from all over Texas!

I believe through therapy, clients can discover that their progress and goals are achievable by applying the methods and techniques that are used in our sessions. The integrative approaches that I use can have an incredible impact on a client's sense of well-being, happiness, recovery, and health. Welcome! I am Hope Torres MS, LPC, CCTP-II, I am a USAF veteran and prior law enforcement officer. I use my experiences in life, such as child and adulthood traumas, and array of trainings to guide clients to healing and growth. I am here to work for those with traumas, anxiety, PTSD, military (active and veteran), first responders, medical staff, and anyone that has faced difficult times in life that make is hard for them day-to-day. My approach in therapy is based on the needs and experiences of the clients and always contain compassion, patience, guidance, listening, and encouragement of growth.
