I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) working with adults struggling in their relationship and couples who feel stuck in negative patterns. I also have experience with Infertility, Affairs, Depression, Anxiety and ADHD/ADD and couples who have recently separated or divorced. I will work with you to figure out your goals and how to attain them. I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy as well as training in Treating Affairs and Trauma. I use Gottman Method Couples Therapy in my work. I also trained in Level 1 Brainspotting.

My specialty is "COUPLES." The work I do with couples is not covered by insurance(s). I specialize in using Imago relationship therapy, attachment theory, somatic therapy & neuroscience. The issues that concern couples are usually styles of communication, infidelity, conflict, racial distress, commitment & navigating differences. I work with couples on a "short-term" private intensive basis beginning with a 2-hr assessment that gives you hope and insight into areas of strength and growth. My philosophy is grounded in the idea that relationship are an adventure to be had; not a problem to be solved.

l am a licensed mental health counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional specializing in the treatment of trauma and related disorders such as anxiety and depression. I believe that trauma in its many forms--sexual abuse and assault, emotional neglect, bullying, infidelity, divorce, or loss of a loved one--can have a profound effect on how we move through the world, relate to others, and think about ourselves. I use evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, and mindfulness to help clients address the needs of their body, mind and spirit.

Infidelity is a difficult topic to broach. Whether you are the unfaithful partner, the betrayed partner, or the affair partner, the role often comes with shame and fear of judgement. I specialize in working with individuals who find themselves seeking to dig deeper into their experiences, patterns, choices, and ultimately to work towards positive changes.

I work with women, men, and couples who are facing emotional and sexual health difficulties. Over the last few years, I have worked in an oncology setting, which has given me a unique ability to address the concerns of those dealing with chronic illness, as well as those trying to redefine and recreate their lives after a cancer diagnosis and treatment. As an AASECT certified sex therapist, addressing the sexual health and intimacy concerns of individuals and couples who are experiencing challenges or difficulties with their emotional and/or sexual relationships is my other area of focus.

I love to work with ALL couples who are experiencing relationship conflicts (including LGBTQIA2S+), families who need additional supports for parenting help, adolescents, younger adults, those in college and who are navigating changes, military personnel, and those looking to process any experienced trauma. I honorably served in the military for 27 years and have extensive experience in treating PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, infidelity, and substance use/co-occurring disorders.

Relationships in Crisis: We Have Several Private Couples/Marriage Workshops & Individual Sessions, in order to Rapidly Accelerate Your Healing & Your Communication Process (Traditional 45 min. session Simply Does Not Work). During these 2 to 4 weeks, we will see both of you Together & Individually, as well as Help each of you Learn the Art of Empathy, Sensitivity & Compassion. These Workshops are Informative & Powerful, in order to Accelerate the Healing Process & Stop any further Damage from Occurring. In Addition, Our Success RATE is 85% of Our Couples that have Successfully Completed Our Couples Workshops or Alcohol Treatment.

My name is Ruthie Fox, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker licensed in both MA and RI. I provide both long- and short-term counseling services to individuals of all ages, couples and families. I am a LICSW with 30 years of experience, currently working with individual adults and couples. I am very straghtforward, but my approach is informal, making counseling a safe space where we can work together towards helping you feel and function better. We look at how current circumstances and past history are impacting your life, and explore what changes may be helpful with options developed and advise given if asked. I believe strongly that in-person, rather than tele-health sessions is best practice, though I will do telehealth if necessary once a relationship has been established.
