I see toddlers (18+ months), children, teens, and adults in sessions as individuals, couples and families for a wide variety of issues. Carey has a rich history of providing psychotherapy services with diverse populations. She is direct yet relatable, skilled yet casual. She has experience in crisis intervention and trauma and is trained in EMDR and TF-CBT. She has helped many clients with eclectic concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, oppositional behaviors, conduct disorders, Autism Spectrum, schizophrenia and other psychoses, and relationship concerns. I specialize in couples therapy as well as families with children with special needs. My outpatient practice specifically centers on patients who have Autism and one or more additional mental health diagnoses. Studies have shown that over 70% of individuals with Autism likely have at least one co-occurring mental health disorder. At times, the combination of Autism + behavior problems + any mental health disorder makes recovery a challenge. It is my hope that providing treatment for my patients and their families which is tailored to their specific diagnoses combination will help provide the knowledge and support needed for success.

Ages 6+ with issues include Anxiety, Panics, Depression, ADD/ADHD, ODD, Anger, Explosive Anger, OCD, Tics, Tourettes, Autism, sleep difficulties, pain, Fibromyalgia, migraines, GI issues, IBS, Brain Gut, CVS, Hypertension. The idea of losing someone, something, or a unexpected change in life brings upon the grieving process. It is not expected that everyone suffers alone and in silence; this is only the goal of stigma. I have been working as a licensed psychotherapist for the last 10 years and have additional training in Motivational Interviewing, Exposure and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and PEERS social skills training from UCLA. I am also the author of Conquer Anxiety in Ten Weeks. In 2021 I decided to pursue a career as a neuropsychologist and am currently working on my PhD.
