My specialities are in mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, grief and couples therapy. I am a certified trauma professional, certified in DBT, Level II trained in EMDR, Level 3 in Brainspotting and Level III trained in Gottman Marital Therapy. I am also a Board Certified Coach. I specialize in adults, adolescents, couples and families.

Michael is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) receiving his Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Geneva College in Beaver Pennsylvania. Mike offers holistic counseling services for those struggling to find balance on a spiritual, emotional or cognitive level.

Susan Sheidy, LMFT, is the Grace Counseling Services Clinical Director and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Liberty University and also received her Master of Arts graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty. I am a Board Certified Hypnotist and Coach with years of experience. I believe in a holistic approach,meaning that mind, body, and spirit all play into our well-being. Seeking help can feel uncomfortable not only to those who have never sought it before, but also to those who have had negative experiences. I adapt my approach to each individual’s unique situation. I strive to provide a comfortable, confidential, safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space; where you will not simply "learn coping skills", but will learn how to work through stresses and problems to facilitate long-lasting change. My goal is to help you help yourself!

As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I value addressing life challenges that families, couples and individuals face from a systemic and holistic approach. My hope is to create an environment that is safe and encouraging for all members to feel valued and supported. I counsel couples through the many stages of life, including pre-marital consultation,fertility issues, becoming new parents, divorce and the everyday stress and challenges that couples face in today's hectic world. Prior to counseling, I was engaged in non-profit leadership which included speaking and coaching women and teens/young adults. In fact, it was the individuals I encountered during that season of life which inspired me to pursue professional counseling.

After spending 20 years in the corporate environment, I felt compelled to change myself and assist others with living and enjoying life in a meaningful way. I am blessed to have worked with thousands of different individuals with a multitude of diverse backgrounds, challenges, hardships and goals. I am a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience in working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship or family issues. While I use a multifaceted approach when working with clients, I have found that mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy together provide the most benefit. Because our relationships with ourselves and others have been so heavily influenced by what we learned in our family of origin, I also help clients to understand how these family dynamics impact various aspects of life.
