My role is to help clients explore their emotional needs and provide feedback. Hopefully, the value will be realized in both behavioral and emotional changes. Under all circumstances, my mission is to treat the client with the utmost regard and honor the human condition as it is. Counseling hours are available most days at your convenience. Often clients are able to schedule an appointment with 24 hours of calling my office.

My philosophy of therapy is that it is collaborative, person centered, and strengths-based process that has the ability to transform individual’s lives. Life is about transitions and change, and therapy can provide a safe place to learn skills to cope with these inevitable parts of life. My therapy style is to provide support and a non-judgmental stance to provide a safe place to process life’s difficulties.

I work with teens and adults of all ages, couples/partners, and families. My area of expertise is working with individuals who have experienced trauma and those struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and self-esteem issues.

Since 2018, I have worked as an addiction’s counselor, and then became a mental health therapist. Currently, I specialize in dual diagnosis therapy for mental health, complex trauma, and addiction therapy. For over the past 20 plus years my working career has been focused to some degree in the medical, legal, and law enforcement fields, ultimately leading me to obtain a graduate Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and becoming a mental health counselor working with clients who struggle with mental health problems, complex trauma, addiction, and everything in between.

I specialize in working with adults and adolescents. I have 12+ years experience working in the mental health field and have a Masters Degree in Social Work through WVU. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, grief, substance abuse, and behavior issues.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, licensed in WV and MD. I am also a PsyPact authorized holder, which allows me to see patients via telehealth in a number of states in the US. I am trained as an integrative health service psychologist, meaning I draw from numerous scientifically grounded psychological theories to develop a deep understanding of you and tailor treatment to you. Interpersonal Reconstructive Therapy is a guiding integrative frame I use, where we collaborate to uncover why your symptoms make sense in light of your history, including your important early relationships.

As a therapist, my primary goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental relationship to assist you in meeting your goals. Whether you are seeking therapy to heal past wounds or address current issues, my approach is a collaborative one, building upon your personal strengths and resilience. I provide individual, family, and/or couples therapy to address a variety of mental health symptoms, behavioral disorders, and relationship problems.
