I help teens, and adults make sense of the complexity of a struggle or experience so that they can harness their strengths and feel empowered and supported to create a meaningful change in themselves and their relationships. I provide parent guidance for children of all ages to help parents make sense of complex childhood struggles and how best to understand and support their child's unique development.

Heather Sniezek (owner/clinical director) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio who earned her Master of Arts from Ashland University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Psychology from Cleveland State University. Heather’s experience includes working in a private practice setting, inpatient psychiatric unit, grief counseling center, outpatient care, and in school counseling settings. Heather is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

As you leave our sessions, I strive to leave you feeling valued, accepted, and heard. To me, it is of the utmost importance to build genuine and trusting relationships with clients. This creates the foundation for healing. Together we will unpack what is getting in the way of you functioning at your best and determine a path forward. Some reasons to consider psychotherapy for your child or family member include: sudden changes in behavior, increased moodiness, an increase in temper tantrums, difficulty getting along with friends, physical or sexual abuse, loss of a loved one, divorce, excessive crying or sadness, increased worrying, aggression, questions about sexuality, self-injurious behavior or thoughts of suicide, trauma, illness, and anger. Parents and caregivers know their child best. If you think something is off, then seek a consultation. I will listen intently and conduct a detailed interview to determine if services are appropriate. If they are, then together we will set goals and develop a treatment plan.

Dr. Kelsey Shelton is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Ohio. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville and went on to obtain her Doctorate of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Shelton provides a therapeutic environment that is calm and nonjudgmental, while still challenging patients to face discomfort and create meaningful change in their lives. She believes that each person is an expert of themselves and tends to engage patients in a collaborative process.

I practice with adults of all ages, older adolescents and couples.  I treat clients with problems related to depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship/marriage conflicts, substance abuse issues and those individuals who struggle with emotional regulation.   I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health counseling, residential treatment, felony court, and inpatient counseling.  I believe the best treatment modality is important for success.  I practice using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and a few others.

Let's talk about grief, and loss! Have you had a major loss, a love one died, a relationship ended, loss a job/career, loss of trust, or good health? Have you experienced a traumatic event either for yourself or witnessed trauma to someone else? The Grief Recovery Method is an educational intervention that provides both group and one-on-one support to address losses of all kinds and especially includes the death of a loved one. The Grief Recovery Method can be offered as a one-on-one service or a group experience. EMDR is another supportive technique/therapy used to address traumatic life experiences and life anxieties and stresses.

I having training in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR. Clients I serve struggle with effects of past traumatic events, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and the complex emotions related to grief.
