Karen earned a MA in Christian Counseling from Columbia Evangelical Seminary in 2001 and another MA in Community Counseling form Charon State College in 2008 and has been a fully licensed mental health practitioner since 2012. I combine a Motivation Interviewing style with other counseling intervention methods so that my clients can safety explore their experience and ambivalence.

I have been counseling in the Kearney area for 32 years specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, adolescent issues, marital counseling, grief , anger and parent child relations. I have felt very good over the years about my ability to connect with anyone who comes through my door and meet them where they are in their life.

My goal is to provide counseling and guidance to individuals who are dealing with issues that affect them physically, emotionally and mentally. I look forward to helping individuals overcome their addiction issues with substance abuse and help them gain an understanding of addiction issues. I want to help individuals determine why they are experiencing their life challenges, develop goals and actions to resolve their issues.

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families in a relaxed setting. I have over 13 years of experience working with mental, emotional and behavioral health issues. I also have over 19 years of experience with career counseling and working with individuals experiencing academic difficulties.

Through a holistic approach, I assist clients navigate life's challenges. I work with clients 10 to 65 years old supporting clients with a variety of concerns, such as depression, anxiety, and grief.

Erica works with people of all ages, providing individual and family therapy. She believes in a strength-based approach and that everyone has skills and qualities that can be built upon in order to facilitate change.

I have a passion for working with individuals who may have depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, substance use disorders, and child/adolescent behavioral disorders. I also have experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, both in children and adults.

Jen specializes in working with adolescents and women who struggle with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, difficulty managing emotions or tolerating distress, and who are experiencing difficult life transitions. She offers a warm, empathetic approach to therapy and holds to the highest standards of confidentiality. Jen uses an eclectic approach with her clients intertwining Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, and Mindfulness Self-Compassion. She is passionate about creating a safe environment in which personal growth is fostered.

The love of people and the passion of working with others so they can heal from past experiences is what drew me into the field of counseling. I have experience working in multiple areas including working with college students as they move forward with their future, overcoming obstacles as they attain their goals. I have also worked at The Meadows in Arizona working with individuals and groups, counseling those committed to sexual recovery. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist, trained under Dr. Patrick Carnes.
