Life is full of challenges when raising children. Finding a therapist for yourself or your child can be equally confusing. I can help you to untangle and heal some of the obstacles that that may be getting in the way of a more conflict free and fulfilling family life. My work incorporates Family Therapy, Parent Coaching, Child Centered Play Therapy, Sand Play Therapy, and parenting support/education. I work with children as young as 3, teens, families and individuals. Additionally, I incorporate teaching children, parents, and teens mindfulness based ways of reducing anxiety, worries, fears, and anger issues.

My mindfulness based, play therapy training has taught me how to help children that have gone through or may be going through a trauma. A child's language is play. A play therapy room offers a variety of mediums that will help a child safely express what they need to in order to heal through their play. My sessions also will partially include the parents, where feelings and coping skills can be discussed before the play time begins.

I am enthusiastic about working with young adults, teens, children and I believe there is no such thing as an ideal client since we're not living in the most ideal world. I believe in being that supportive and directive person in a client's life who is taking the journey with them. I work with a wide range of issues and address these through evidence based practices and skills within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, sand tray, and positive psychology. In regards to children, I focus my skills on therapeutic play and art to aid in processing and emotion regulation.

I have been providing therapy for children and families for several years after graduating from Bryn Mawr College of Social Work and Social Research.
