As a Licensed Psychotherapist, Author, and Educator, I bring 28 years of clinical expertise and 20 years of teaching experience to my practice. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor(CADC) and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology(MCP). Much of my training has been centered in client-centered theory and I also have specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition to being traditionally trained, I also incorporate​ a holistic, integrated approach toward psychotherapy which includes aspects of mindfulness and Eastern philosophy, providing individual, family and couples therapy as well as intervention work.

Years of experience have made me an expert in both individual and relationship counseling. Welcome! We provide traditional and holistic healing for mind, body & spirit health. We work with individuals, couples, families & groups age 5 and up. The facility is located on a main street with free parking. This is a private practice with a private waiting room in a very comfortable & soothing setting. Look for the yellow house with raspberry trim. Hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. When you call, we will do a brief intake, verify your insurance benefits & schedule your first appointment. We do not have a waiting list and can schedule your first appointment within the same week.

I earned a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in 2005, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health Service Management from Keller Business School of Management in 2013. I am a License Clinical Professional Counselor with 18 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults and families. I provide individual, family, marital, and group counseling to clients in the community outpatient clinics, hospitals, and in the home. I specialize in person centered care utilizing clients' strengths in overcoming barriers and emotional distress.

My clinical experience has focused on serving those who experience anxiety, depression, family and marriage/relationship struggles, PTSD (veterans, military active duty, first responders). Most clients I see are striving to understand what they are feeling and sometimes why they are having certain symptoms. Therapeutic intervention can help guide a client to finding some of those answers and creating goals to help them live with more peace and happiness.

This means the first step is to identify all the major factors contributing to your problem, as well as any smaller problems that could be having an impact. Often, what seems to be one problem is really something else entirely. This diagnostic clarity is accomplished by administering a battery of tests personalized to your unique presentation. By identifying specific areas in need of intervention, the rate of recovery increases and much more targeted treatments can be implemented.
