Little Light Counseling is dedicated to helping children and their families live better lives. We incorporate parent education with individual and family counseling in a supportive and compassionate environment. We work with ages 7 and up, and people from all backgrounds. Our goal is to make sure anyone who needs or wants counseling can obtain services, regardless of financial circumstances. Your first session is $275 and subsequent sessions are $120. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and work with a delightful therapy dog, Piper. With so much happening in the world and our own "backyard" it can fee overwhelming. I offer Telehealth services if indicated and most insurance providers are making this easier during this time of high stress and uncertainty. Thinking about writing this profile, I wanted to make it simple........I'm an old-fashioned therapist with great boundaries and carefully-monitored ethics. Then I thought you might want to know more about me and my style of therapy! I bring warmth, sometimes humor, to our work together. I'm a good listener......I won't fall asleep or interrupt to discuss my own agenda. I won't tell you to divorce your spouse or to stop compulsively overeating. I will help you find your own solutions and offer support as you take, sometimes very challenging, steps towards healing.

My therapy practice has focused on interventions for complex family systems including co-parenting after divorce, raising special needs children or supporting patients with navigating agency involvement (child welfare, corrections, education). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Doctor of Behavioral Health (DBH) whose career was founded in Pediatrics. I have a strong commitment to helping families develop secure relationships and additionally offer attachment couples counseling using PACT, EFT and IFS models.

I am passionate about being there for others helping them discover their strengths, build their resilience and increase their joy. My approach is client-centered and focuses on empathy, compassion, and being there for others so they feel truly seen. My hope is to meet clients where they are in each moment and help them find their inner strength to be their truest self. I am a wife, mother, and survivor of infertility that can relate to the struggles and joys of parenting and navigating relationships. I love to support parents, children, women and couples as they try to find their way during challenging times.

Gabriel McCoy, LMFT (Clinical Director of Trinity Counseling Center, LLC) holds a B.S. from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.

I have been a psychotherapist for over 30 years, so my practice has both depth and breadth. I now offer Psilocybin Experiencing and Micro Dosing. Research has shown and I have seen treatment resistant addiction conditions respond rapidly to psilocybin treatment, often in one session! I also provide assistance in dealing with what triggers your cravings, repair of relationships, and healing of traumas that resulted from using or may have contributed to beginning using in the first place. I also work with complicated grief from the loss of a loved one to overdose, suicide, or other traumatic losses. I have over 50 years of personal recovery.

Existing in the world today is challenging on its own, now add depression, anxiety, panic attacks, interpersonal and family relationship concerns, money and health issues, etc. This makes daily functioning sometimes seem like an impossible task. It is within my personal belief that every individual has the ability to manage these symptoms and thrive in the world, we just sometimes need additional support. This is where therapy comes in. I provide a nonjudgemental approach to helping my clients achieve overall wellness so that happiness and joy don't just feel like a distant thought.

Jake is especially interested in working with children and families in rural Oregon who are at disproportionate risk for poor developmental outcomes. Appropriate referrals include concerns related to mood, anxiety, or stress response in individuals college-age or younger; concerns related to autism, ADHD, learning abilities/styles, intellectual functioning, or other social, emotional, cognitive, or adaptive developmental concerns; concerns for adherence to a medical regimen (especially T1D); and concerns related to parenting behavior, family stress, family communication, or child/adolescent behavior management.

I earned my Master's degree from a holistically oriented clinical mental health counseling program at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts - one of the most comprehensive programs of its kind. Since earning my degree I have provided counseling across a variety of settings including non-profit and for-profit organizations, government agencies, hospitals, employee assistance and now in private practice. Locally here in the Rogue Valley I have worked for both Asante and Jackson County Mental Health. At the latter location I trained the RN staff in counseling skills and fellow counselors in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
