I believe trust and belonging are the basic needs of individuals. How one learns to love and be loved tells a lot about who we are as people and how our relationships develop. I provide therapy for individuals, couples, and families, thereby hoping to provide change to the system, and not just the individual.

We tend to think that we can sort out these complications on our own or by talking to a close friend. I believe people have the ability to heal from harmful experiences. I seek to create a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients, building trust through compassion and nonjudgmental understanding. I use an integrative approach which includes evidence based theories and therapies. I implement EMDR, cognitive behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, positive psychology, solution-based therapy, and family systems therapy. I take a holistic therapeutic approach in working with the client’s well-being through addressing mental, physical, and spiritual health. Most importantly, I feel blessed to be part of this profession!

I believe that individuals have within them the capacity to achieve and maintain a state of positive mental health. Each person has a primarily unique and genuine outlook on life and in that tools inherent within to live a healthy existence. Dr. Matt Ditty is a Psychologist in the State of Oregon. He relocated back to Southern Oregon, where he was born and raised, after the completion of his doctoral studies at George Fox University and internship at Baylor University (2021).

I now offer Psilocybin Experiencing and Micro Dosing. Research has shown and I have seen treatment resistant addiction conditions respond rapidly to psilocybin treatment, often in one session! I also provide assistance in dealing with what triggers your cravings, repair of relationships, and healing of traumas that resulted from using or may have contributed to beginning using in the first place. I also work with complicated grief from the loss of a loved one to overdose, suicide, or other traumatic losses. I have over 50 years of personal recovery.

I believe that the first step to healing and growth is in our admission that we need help. Asking for help is not always easy when trust may have been violated or when society tells us to be strong and hold it together when the storms of life occur. When this happens, we tend to feel alone in our emotional pain and suffering, thinking and believing that no one understands what we are going through. We all need a safe place to uncoil, work through our difficulties and feel good about ourselves and our relationships with others.
