I am a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Illinois. I received my doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. I have worked with clients of all ages and have extensive experience treating those with mood disorders and those who have experienced trauma. My approach is fundamentally humanistic. Through my own life experience and work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has proven to bring about great resolve. I believe the therapeutic relationship to be of the utmost importance. A "Good fit" is ideal and should be sought as well as treatment tailored to an individuals needs.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor. I work with all ages. I work with men, women, children and adolescents. My work is based on Gestalt Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing and Play Therapy. My interest includes helping others achieve their dreams through learning to develop their Social and Emotional Intelligence. Sometimes, in life obstacles get in the way of a person being able to achieve their dreams and they often need help learning to better use their emotions and their social environments. Because, dreams comes from change and change comes from dreams.

I am a counselor who believes in self determination and choices and therefore I believe in assisting individuals, couples, adolescents, and families (of all ages, races, genders, religions) to strengthen their disposition and resolve. I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) as a technique to help individuals with PTSD and anxiety. I am an Illinois Supreme Court approved Divorce Mediator which provides me the opportunity to assist couples who are divorcing. Divorcing couples deserve to have a choice in divorcing with dignity while also not spending their children's college fund.

I offer a client-centered approach to therapy. I will walk side by side with my clients through their therapy journey. Throughout my career as a counselor, I have had the privilege of working with clients of all ages and backgrounds and have helped them through difficult times in their lives. I help clients through a wide range of treatment modalities. I really enjoy working with teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.

Over the course of my career as a licensed therapist, I have had many exciting opportunities to work with an assortment of different people. Being raised in a family with thirteen siblings, I learned early how to see things from multiple viewpoints. Also, I've learned that it was okay to have different viewpoints and not be wrong, because it was that person's opinion or belief. I became interested in couples and families, because I've learned that there's a difference between being in a relationship and "just" being together with a person or persons. Although it's a human need to want to be in a relationship, it's also a personal responsibility to learn how to be relationship material.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and have worked in may different settings. Throughout my career, I have worked inpatient, outpatient including intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs, and now private practice, with many different types of people. Today, the world has started to be a slightly more difficult place to navigate and we feel like there are a lot of things out of our control, but we can control what we do to better ourselves. I want to be here to help you achieve an even better you.

Very often in life we go through things which are out of our control. Sometimes it can feel like one thing after another and a constant need to solve problems and navigate tough situations. I love the process of meeting my clients where they're at and walking beside them as they grow and move towards the best version of themselves. I genuinely think being a therapist is the coolest job in the world and I feel very privileged to work with people from many different walks or seasons of life.

Addiction is an insidious disease, one that takes over a person's life like a toxic friend, leading one to believe relief will be at the next turn, only to find misery and heartache. It controls a person's thought-life, holds the soul hostage, destroys the ability to feel simple emotions, and obliterates families. It can be difficult to reach out due to the shame that has permeated one's beliefs about themselves, and finding someone who understands the depth of this pain and shame can be daunting. But there is HOPE.
