I have many years experience working with adults and children suffering from depression, anxiety, OCD, anger issues, trauma, and abuse. I have also worked in the field of drug and alcohol addiction. After my graduate studies, my primary focus and training was working with children suffering from ADHD, ODD, depression, and anxiety. I used behavioral management coupled with parenting strategies to improve the overall parent/child relationship. I gained incredible knowledge and insight regarding chronic pain as well as grief and loss while working with the elderly population through home health care and hospice.

Brooke A. Humphrey is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with over 15 years of experience in the mental health and end-of-life fields. She is passionate about guiding adolescents, adults, and seniors through the unique challenges of life and helping them live their own special stories. Brooke specializes in anxiety, grief and loss, end-of-life issues, and other life transitions. Brooke completed her Master's degree in Social Work at the University of South Carolina, and is currently working on her Doctor of Social Work degree at Walden University.

Hello, my name is Valerie Boughner. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of South Carolina and Florida. I was born into a military family in the United States, and I have lived in many states in the USA, Japan and Panama. I am active in sports and I travel in my spare time. I have been providing family and individual therapy services for over 17 years. I help families and individuals coping with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship/communication difficulty, grief and loss, life changes, and rejection to overcome their difficulties and reach the highest goals they have set for themselves.

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with a proven background as a clinical practitioner. I completed a Master of Social Work degree from Howard University in 1979. My formal education and training coupled with many years of hands-on experiences have driven my practice skills. I have worked in many areas of social work, as well as working with different populations. Since 2009, my primary focus has been working with the diverse elderly population in managed care and long-term care settings.

I was born in Romania and came to the USA in 2004. As a result, I’m adding a multicultural approach the great journey of the therapeutic process. I have a degree as a special education teacher and have worked for 10 years with a specialty in emotionally disabled children. I also worked as a licensed psychologist in the Romanian Army. Unfortunately, the psychology degree did not transfer in the USA, so I decided to go back to school, pursuing a clinical social work degree at USC. I enjoy working with adults, seniors and families on a variety of issues such as parenting, trauma, complex PTSD, and high functioning autism.

My approach is using the mind-body connection to address symptoms. I believe in treating each of my clients as a whole person. The mind and body are not separate entities but are intricately interconnected. I believe effective treatment must reflect this delicate relationship between mind and body.
