Arthur Stokenbury is a highly-skilled substance abuse and trauma therapist with 15 years of experience working with adults and adolescents. He is retired Army infantry sergeant, who has experienced extensive combat experience. He has a secondary License in Alocholism and Drug Abuse (LADAC). He has been working in criminal rehabilitation and substance abuse for the past 11 years. Art understands how the trauma and substance abuse play hand in hand and how to break the cycle. His approach is holistic view of health encompassing the body, mind, and emotions. Integrating all aspects of an individual’s cognitions, strengths and weakness.

People may be dealing with family stresses such as a result of a job loss. Perhaps a child trying to cope with bullying issues. Or maybe battling depression, anxiety, addictions or other traumas. Many experience emotions too difficult to discuss. This leaves some feeling so low that nothing matters anymore. Unable to see a way out of the darkness they feel stuck, helpless, and hopeless. I offer treatment to a wide range of clients ages 5 to adult. As a therapist I am here to walk with my clients while they are working through some of life's toughest obstacles. I strive to be there for them while they decide what steps that need to taken in order to remove barriers in their lives to be able to live their healthiest life possible. My goal as a therapist is to give 100% to them each time that they walk into my office and work with them on the issues that they have in the away that benefits them the most.

I have experience working with children through geriatric populations. I provide individual, family, relationship, and group services through telehealth. I will work with you to assist you to identify your needs and the goals you wish to achieve. I recognize that people can and do struggle with overwhelming emotions and sometimes need help to calm and overcome them. Some of these emotions are hardwired but others have come from the trauma a person has suffered in their life. I will work to assist you to develop coping skills to be better able to deal with your emotions and everyday life.
