Lewis: I am passionate about helping clients to overcome their past, and gain freedom from their chronic mental health problems through EMDR therapy. I provide eco-EMDR and nature-based therapy that meets the client where they are. My ultimate goal is to empower clients to live more adaptive and meaningful lives through an evidenced-based model of healing that involves movement (green exercise), nature, TF-EMDR, and addressing the body at the client's fitness level. I offer EMDR extended session in-office and outdoors in various locations in Wyoming and Utah.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor providing trauma-focused, anxiety reduction, empowerment-focused therapy since 2019 for teen and adult patients with trauma, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. My mission is simple. Supporting those seeking support and empowering them through language and skills to take control over their lives and live more authentically. While we all come from different walks of life and hold unique personal experiences, we ALL experience challenge in one way or another. Although working through our challenges can be difficult, finding someone who understands us in our process of creating change can be equally as difficult. With nearly 20 years of experience in community mental health, I am no stranger to challenge or pain and find it an honor to work with those seeking change and support.

I have worked in the mental health field since 2002. Since moving back to Utah in 2015 I have worked for Valley Behavioral Health, provided therapy at Park City High School, Park City Hospital and more recently for University of Utah Huntsman Outpatient. I have experience treating a wide variety of people from diverse backgrounds. I typically work with individuals ages 12 and up using solution focused, CBT, ACT, MI, DBT, and develop insight and coping skills to problem solve and create and maintain resiliency. I bring empathy and calmness to my practice. I treat depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma and other issues.

Saddle of Love will be a 501(c)(3) non-profit Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) program. Our mission is to teach trust, self- love, and positive life coping skills to youth through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. We will partner with horses for the exploration of self- awareness, connection and confidence and love to gain new perspectives on life. We offer EMDR, individual, group and family therapy as well as camps, retreats, culinary and horticulture therapy.

While being human sometimes is painful, I do my best to warmly connect with clients to lighten the load being carried. I believe that "Empathy is a radical act" and use basic therapy skills such as listening and validating to create a safe place to do the "scary" work of change. I believe people can find solutions to have fulfilling relationships.. no matter the challenges. Sometimes that takes creating inspiration..I'm here to do just that.
