The Pauquette Center for Psychological Services is a group of experienced outpatient mental health clinicians who provide services for children, adolescents, adults, families, couples and groups in rural areas of Wisconsin. We serve a wide variety of patients including individuals with high risk behaviors, adjustment difficulties, grief and loss, chronic mental health concerns, traumatic experiences, and behavioral difficulties. In addition to therapy and counseling services, we offer Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse assessments and treatment, psychological assessments, and a full-fidelity Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program.

After establishing a trusting relationship with my clients, I work towards identifying their issues followed by setting mutually-agreed upon attainable goals; one step at a time. I personally believe that the success gained by smaller increments builds confidence which eventually motivates us to achieve more. My clients set the pace; determining just how quickly or slowly they want to proceed. While some only need a few sessions a month, others prefer a more frequent schedule. As a tele-therapy provider I offer the security of a private, confidential “office” with the ease of “meeting” you anywhere at times convenient to you.

I provide mental health therapy for adults as well as for family or friends who struggle to support or understand the needs of their loved ones.

I have found that humor, empathy and understanding, for oneself and others, are key elements in building relationships with people. These qualities are the foundation of all good psychotherapy. I am comfortable working with people from varying spiritual traditions. My abilities are well suited to people who are emotionally sensitive or traumatized. I have worked well with individuals who have had treatment failures in the past, people who are creative, gifted individuals, adolescents and children. Play therapy is effective with children who have cognitive delays.

I am LPC and earned my Master's degree from Mount Mary University in 2007. I strive to meet clients where they are in their lives and help find ways to balance work, life, and relationships. I have experience working with anxiety disorders, trauma, addictions, obsessive compulsive disorder, parenting issues, assertiveness training, stress management, adjustment concerns adolescents, couples and families. My goals are to work with clients to improve thought patterns and change negative patterns of behaviors. Teaching mindfulness and helping others to incorporate strategies for overall balance and wellness is essential. I am certified in EMDR and received my drug and alcohol certification.

The therapist-client relationship is unlike any other professional or personal relationship and I value the connection with my clients. I understand the importance of validating your personal circumstances and creating a safe, trusting and private space in which you feel free to share in confidence.
