My practice is based on a strength's perspective, using a collaborative approach to each session. Using your experiences, discussing tools and new strategies, you will move through your sessions with a sense of growth and change. I will use an eclectic approach to therapy; using solution focused, cognitive behavioral or creative forms of therapy, like journaling. The structure and approach of sessions is determined by your needs. Visit my website for more information.

I see a wide variety of individual and couples clients who hope to improve their circumstances (ages 15-99). Most of my clients have experienced some form of past hurt or other struggle. I work to manage conflict, disappointment, hurt feelings, sadness, grief, loss, or other strong emotions. My approach is empathic/patient but directive. My strategies are adapted from my experience with trauma (CPTSD), attachment, family dynamics, codependency, toxic shame, grief and loss, parent-child relationships (incl. estrangement), premarital counseling, life transitions. I hope my clients experience peace as a result of our work together!

Accepting New Clients: I believe one of the most courageous things you can do is to reflect on your life story and acknowledge your barriers to living a life that aligns with your core values. As a clinician, I work with clients to create a blueprint on how to live a life that is filled with vitality and purpose. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who primarily works with married couples, young adults, and adolescents. Additionally, I teach an Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents that struggle with anxiety and depression.

Even though we might live with a mental illness, we can live a full life! Anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, substance use, grief… we may have these experiences in our lives, but they do not need to be in control. We can live a life focused on our values, with meaning, and courageous strength. Since 2012 I've had the privilege of walking with youth, adults, couples, and families, helping them create a life worth living. What we learn to accept can transform us and help us cultivate a rich and meaningful life.
