Hi, my name is Natalie! My passion in the field lies with childhood traumatic experiences and how these take a physical toll on our bodies. Trauma can place heavy burden on the unconscious parts of our mind and manifest as physical sensations, certain thought patterns/habits, and self-fulfilling prophecies. In this way, it is important to call attention to these details of our lives, as they make profound differences in personal mental health. They also have a cyclical relationship with those in disadvantaged populations, leading to over-incarceration; medical neglect; stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination; etc.

Carol Rodgers once said If we are able to accept ourselves just as we are, then we can change. Likewise, I believe that everyone has the unique ability to discover significance within themself. This path to personal development is often found within the context of meaningful relationships. A therapeutic relationship can offer helpful guidance towards radical acceptance, profound healing and transformational growth.

Kaitlyn graduated with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in 2018. She holds a License in Counseling in the State of Michigan. She enjoys helping clients through a wide range of struggles including anxiety, mood disorders, and substance abuse. She often incorporates a person-centered approach and play therapy into her practice. She believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal.

Many large changes happen between 18-40 and am glad to help you feel like yourself again. I have advanced training to combine talk-therapy with EMDR Therapy as well as narrative techniques that are aimed at getting you the results you desire.
