Acadiana Detox Center, Treatment Facility in Bossier City
“Our Detox at Acadiana has three phases. First is evaluation, where our staff will determine the actual amount and type of substances that are circulating throughout your body so that we can ascertain how best to remove them from your body. Once admitted we will start the second phase, stabilization, which is the actual removal of the drugs or alcohol from your system. You'll be monitored around the clock by our staff to ensure that you are safely and effectively treated for the symptoms. We'll be certain to explain everything we're doing before it's done to mentally prepare you for our care. While stabilization can be uncomfortable, we'll be by your side the whole time. The last and most important phase in our detox program is Transitioning. Our caring and compassionate staff will slowly guide you into the next phase of your addiction treatment plan. You'll be acclimated to a Residential or Outpatient of your choosing so that you can learn more about your addiction, ways of staying clean, and the tools necessary to live a life free from drugs and alcohol.

Brian S Canfield, Marriage & Family Therapist in Bossier City
Verified by Psychology Today
Marriage & Family Therapist, EdD, LPC, LMFT
“My practice specializes in relationship issues - marriage counseling and couples therapy. I have 29 years of experience working with individuals and couples that are in crisis - due to issues such as infidelity, chronic marital dissatisfaction, parenting issues, and family conflicts - as well as helping "undecided" individuals gain greater clarity about choice and marital commitment. Counseling should be a relatively short-term process in which the therapist provides a supportive environment and works with clients to gain greater insight and develop more effective ways for improving communication, intimacy, and the overall quality of their relationships. Marriage & Family Therapist, MA, LPC, LMFT
“I work with individuals, couples, and families - specializing in work with adolescents and young adults. I recognize that many young people become overwhelmed in the face of personal problems and life adjustment issues, often resulting in self-defeating behaviors, opposition and defiance to parental authority, and decreased school performance, I do not believe in the notion of a "bad child," but rather that problematic behaviors often reflect poor choices and a lack of knowledge. I work to help my clients develop new skills and behaviors in order to avoid negative consequences and achieve their goals and personal potential.

Lora P Teutsch, Counselor in Bossier City
“We all experience the natural up's and down's of life. I think we would all agree that when it's good, things feel really good. But when things go wrong, as they often do, it can feel equally as bad. Sometimes the upsetting situation is one that we have created ourselves, and other times, we have no control over the situation. Either way, it's natural that we sometimes feel at a loss as to how to cope with difficult situations.
