My practice reflects my core values of kindness, trust, respect, and genuineness. My approach to therapy isn’t one of rigidity but connection and collaboration. Together, we work in a non-judgmental space to explore and discover what is blocking you in your path. While my area of expertise is in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, I can successfully help guide you through experiencing a life transition or struggles in a relationship. Obstacles come in many forms but my goal is always the same: an effective, solution-focused treatment.

After the assessment, ADHD coaching strategies are taught to help manage ADHD traits better.
I provide ADHD coaching and psychotherapy to youth (grades 6 and up), college students, adults, couples, and families. I believe one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself is self-awareness through therapy or coaching. This involves a great deal of self-care and acceptance while you honor your strengths, identify and accept the things you need to work on, and learn strategies and coping skills. Some issues I can provide coaching or therapeutic support for are: ADHD, executive functioning challenges, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, infertility, social, interpersonal and/or parenting difficulties.

Experiencing a lack of motivation? Irritable for no reason? Constantly worrying about the future and “what ifs”? I work with a range of populations and provide person-centered care for those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, adjustment disorders, and life transitions. I believe an extremely important foundation in therapy is building a strong therapeutic rapport in a safe and comfortable environment (a good sense of humor doesn’t hurt either!). Once that is established, working through problems, learning skills, following guidance, and solving problems become much more manageable.

We work with depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, eating disorders, bereavement, borderline, autism, ADHD, addiction, sexual abuse, DV, medical illnesses, relationship problems, LGTBQ+, adjustment disorders and forensic cases.
Footprints was started by a therapist who realized that often times the services provided to low socio-economic communities is lacking quality care. We noticed these communities were confronted with long wait times, disrespectful admins, and subpar treatment. The one and only purpose was to exploit the community for profit without providing the level of care deserved. Feel Better Therapy began from the inspiration to provide quality mental health care to the poorest of communities and treating the clients of this community the same way a rich patient would be treated in a clinic treating affluent clients.

In addition to anxiety, I work with clients experiencing depression, grief, and ADHD.
Anxiety is something all of us have experienced, but for some it can be very debilitating. Whether it's worrying about what others think about you, fear of having a panic attack, or engaging in OCD-related rituals, anxiety can be difficult to manage alone. Therapy offers an opportunity to learn about the nature of anxiety - how it impacts our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By developing a deeper understanding, we can learn how to cope with anxiety while still pursuing our goals.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
