My specialty is Autonomic Healing Activation (AHA) and Relationship Therapy. AHA is a brain exercise that activates your brain to normalize stress for the mind, body, and spirit. If you don't believe in a spirit, you can focus on mind and body activation. Neurobiologically, the brain produces a way for you to heal, persevere, and grow by managing physical and/or emotional pain. Yes, this approach also works for physical illness and chronic pain. My training for my doctorate was in child and family clinical practice and I obtained post-doctoral training in forensic psychology. I also received over 300 hour of training at the Neurosculpting Institute. In addition to my clinical and forensic practice, I have provided consultation services in such settings as Head Start, Federal Corrections, and Child Protection Services and for agencies serving the developmentally disabled. A large part of my practice has always included providing psychotherapy for children, adolescents, couples, and families. I have been married for over 30 years and have seven children.

Instead of seeing problems residing within the individual, I look at how the entire system contributes to the problem formation. The system generates the problem and the two are maintained by each other, and behavior is understood in the context of its' environment.
